1. Introduction
Welcome to Jib. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our artificial intelligence services, including our website, applications, and any other software or services offered by us in connection to any of the foregoing ("Services"). These Terms form an agreement between you and Jib, Inc (“Jib”), and they include our service terms and important provisions for resolving disputes through arbitration.
Please read these Terms carefully before using our Services. By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use our Services.
What Jib is: Jib is an AI platform that makes it easier for you to control your apps via Jib’s chat interface and also create your own web applications (i.e., “jibs”) via chat that you can use to enter and save data, and execute tasks on your behalf. You can share your jibs with others to use, too. We are continuously working to improve Jib’s services. To learn more, please visit jib.com.
2. Service Description
Jib’s AI-powered platform offers a range of services designed to simplify your daily tasks and enhance your productivity. Just open Jib chat and tell it to do something for you in any of your connected apps, and it will execute that for you.
These services include, but are not limited to:
- Task Execution: Adjust a customer’s contact info, email your colleague, or adjust your daily budgets in ad platforms.
- Calendar Management: Creating, managing appointments, and scheduling meetings in your calendar app.
- Social Media Management: Drafting and posting content on various platforms, scheduling posts, and monitoring interactions.
- Information Retrieval: Checking and reporting weather forecasts, news updates, and answering general knowledge questions.
- Customer Interaction: Engaging in basic customer service conversations and routing complex inquiries to human representatives.
- Document Preparation: Drafting, proofreading, and formatting documents.
- Task Management: Creating to-do lists, setting reminders, and prioritizing tasks.
- Communication Assistance: Drafting email responses, language translation, and summarizing long texts or conversations.
Please note that while Jib’s AI platform is designed to be helpful and efficient, it may have limitations. Jib's capabilities are based on its app integrations, its training data, algorithms, the LLM(s) used, which may not cover all possible scenarios or have perfect accuracy. Users should review and verify important information or decisions suggested by Jib.
The Company reserves the right to modify, add, or remove features from the Service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes to the Service's functionality.
3. Definitions
For the purpose of these Terms of Service, the following terms shall have the meanings as defined below:
- "Service" or "Services" refers to Jib’s AI-powered platform and all related features, functions, and offerings provided by “Jib”.
- "User," "you," or "your" refers to any individual or entity that accesses or uses the Service.
- "Content" means any information, data, text, software, graphics, messages, tags, or other materials that you submit, post, or display on or through the Service.
- "User Content" refers to any Content that a User submits, posts, or displays on or through the Service.
- "AI-Generated Content" means any Content that is created, produced, or modified by our artificial intelligence systems in response to User inputs or requests.
- "Intellectual Property Rights" means all patent rights, copyright rights, mask work rights, moral rights, rights of publicity, trademark, trade dress, and service mark rights, goodwill, trade secret rights, and other intellectual property rights as may now exist or hereafter come into existence, and all applications therefore and registrations, renewals, and extensions thereof, under the laws of any state, country, territory, or other jurisdiction.
- "Personal Data" means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person as defined under applicable data protection laws.
- "Account" refers to the User's registered profile and associated information required to access and use the Service.
- "Third-Party Services" means services, applications, or websites provided by third parties that may be integrated or linked with our Service.
- "Feedback" means any suggestions, ideas, comments, or other feedback you provide to us regarding the Service.
- "Terms" refers to these Terms of Service, including any amendments or modifications to them.
- "Privacy Policy" means the privacy policy of “Jib” which describes how we collect, use, and share Personal Data.
4. Usage Rights and Limitations
AI Disclosure:
- AI Integration: Jib is powered by and leverages artificial intelligence systems and algorithms designed to handle tasks such as content creation, app development, calendar management, social media posting, information retrieval, and more.
- Decision Support: While Jib can provide suggestions and draft content, all final decisions and actions are the responsibility of the user.
- Data Processing: To provide our services, the AI processes the data you input. This helps in personalizing responses and improving functionality over time.
- Limitations: Jib’s platform, while advanced, has limitations. It may not always provide perfect accuracy or cover all possible scenarios.
- Human Oversight: For complex enquiries or issues, human representatives are available to assist you.
- Opt-Out Option: All User Content and Output produced on Jib by Users is by default publicly available for consumption, to be shared and viewed freely. If a User desires for any content they produce using Jib to be kept private or deleted, the User must take steps to adjust settings accordingly.
- Continuous Improvement: We regularly update our AI systems. You will be notified of any significant changes to the AI's capabilities or functioning.
- Privacy Protection: We implement robust measures to protect your data privacy in all AI interactions.
- Feedback Mechanism: We welcome your feedback on your experiences with Jib to help us improve our services.
By using Jib, you acknowledge that you understand and consent to interact with an AI-powered system. If you have any questions or concerns about our use of AI, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Age Requirement: Our services are intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. By using our services, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old. If you are under 18 years of age, you may not use or access our services at any time or in any manner. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a person under 18 without parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers. Jib is committed to responsible AI use and to upholding your right to informed technological interactions.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
5.1 Ownership of the Jib platform: Jib retains all right, title, and interest in and to the Jib platform, including all related software, algorithms, technology, and intellectual property rights. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of or grants a license to our technology or intellectual property to you, except for the limited license expressly set forth in Section 4.
5.2 User Content and Outputs: As between you and Jib, and to the extent permitted by applicable law:
- Jib retains a perpetual and irrevocable, non-cancelable, global license to all User Content and Outputs produced with the Jib platform.
6. Data Collection, Usage, and Privacy Policies
6.1 Types of Data Collected: Jib collects and processes the following types of data to provide and improve our Services:
- Calendar information
- Social media preferences
- Social media content
- Task lists
- Saved posts
- Browser searches
- Other information you provide or generate while using our Services
6.2 Purpose of Data Collection: Jib collects and uses this data solely for the purposes of:
- Providing and maintaining our Services
- Improving and developing our Services
- Personalizing your experience
- Analyzing usage patterns to enhance functionality
Jib does not claim ownership of the content you create using these features. By using our Services, you grant Jib a license to use your data as described in Sections 5.3 and 5.4, strictly for the purposes of providing and improving our Services.
7. Data Security and Privacy Protection
Jib implements industry-standard measures to protect user privacy and data security, including:
- Data Encryption: Protecting data both in transit and at rest using strong encryption algorithms as appropriate.
- Access Controls: Implementing strict industry-standard user authentication and authorization processes to ensure only authorized personnel can access sensitive data.
- Anonymization and Pseudonymization: Removing or replacing personally identifiable information within datasets as appropriate.
- Data Minimization: Collecting and retaining only the data necessary for specific, stated purposes.
- Regular Security Audits: Conducting frequent assessments of security measures and potential vulnerabilities.
- Secure Data Storage: Using protected servers and databases with robust security protocols.
8. Liability Disclaimer
Jib services are provided “as is”. Jib, our affiliates, and licensors make no warranties other than those expressly implied in these terms of service. We disclaim all warranties, including, but not limited to, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, satisfactory quality, non-infringement, and quiet enjoyment, and any warranties arising out of any course of dealing or trade usage. We do not warrant that the services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any content will be secure or not lost or altered.
By using Jib services, you agree that any use of outputs from our service is at your sole risk, and you will not rely on output as the sole source of truth or factual information. Jib services are not a substitute for professional advice.
These terms only limit our responsibilities to the maximum extent permissible in your country of residence.
9. Dispute Resolution
By using our services, you and Jib agree to the following mandatory arbitration and class action waiver provisions:
You and Jib agree to resolve any claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or our Services (collectively, "Disputes"), regardless of when the claim arose, through final and binding arbitration. This agreement to arbitrate applies even if a Dispute arose before these Terms existed.
Scope of Arbitration: Disputes subject to arbitration include, but are not limited to, all claims, controversies, and issues arising out of or relating to these Terms, our Services, privacy practices, advertising, or our business relationship, whether based in contract, tort, statute, fraud, misrepresentation, or any other legal theory.
a) Class Action Waiver: You and Jib agree that Disputes must be brought on an individual basis only and may not be brought as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, consolidated, or representative proceeding.
b) Prohibition of Collective Proceedings: Class arbitrations, class actions, and representative actions are expressly prohibited. Only individual relief is available under this agreement.
c) Severability of Public Injunctive Relief: The parties agree to sever and litigate in court any request for public injunctive relief after completing arbitration for the underlying claim and all other claims.
d) Enforcement: If any portion of this class action waiver is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect, except that if the prohibition on class, consolidated, or representative proceedings is found to be invalid or unenforceable, this entire arbitration agreement shall be null and void.
Mediation Procedure:
- Notice of Dispute: The party seeking to initiate mediation must first send a written notice to the other party describing the nature and basis of the dispute and the desired resolution. This notice shall be sent to “[email protected]”.
- If the dispute is not resolved through mediation within 60 days of the initial notice (unless extended by mutual agreement), either party may then proceed to initiate arbitration or other legal proceedings as outlined in these Terms of Service.
10. Termination of Service
10.1 Jib reserves the right to terminate the service provided when the user, not limited to, infringes any of the clauses written in this agreement.
10.2 To voluntarily terminate Jib services, please email “[email protected]”.
Upon termination of services, regardless of the reason, the retention period of the personal data collected by Jib to provide you our services will be 12 months solely for development and compliance purposes.
After this period, Jib will apply the following measures to the data collected:
- a) Anonymization: Personal data will be anonymized where feasible for analytical use.
- b) Deletion: After the retention period, data will be securely deleted from all systems and backups.
- c) Archiving: Necessary data will be securely archived with limited access for legal compliance.
10.3 Usage Limitations: During the retention period, your data will not be used for personalized services or marketing.
10.4 User Rights:
- You may request complete deletion of your data at any time.
- You can inquire about the status of your data via email to “[email protected]”.
10.5 Third Parties: We will notify relevant third parties to cease processing your data.
10.6 Security: Robust security measures will be maintained for all retained data.
10.7 Compliance: This policy adheres to applicable data protection laws. We maintain records of all data processing activities.
10.8 Research: Any use of data for research and development will involve only thoroughly anonymized and aggregated information.

11. Payment Terms
The specific subscription models, billing cycles, and accepted payment methods for our Services are detailed on our website at: jib.com. All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. You are responsible for paying all fees and applicable taxes associated with your use of the Services.
Fees are non-refundable except as expressly provided in our Refund Policy. If your payment method fails or your account is past due, we may suspend or terminate your access to the Services, and we may delete your jibs and data. You agree to pay any reasonable costs we incur to collect your unpaid fees. We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. If we change prices, we will provide notice of the change on the website or via email at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the Services after the price change takes effect constitutes your agreement to pay the changed amount.
Because costs are incurred upon account creation or billing, refunds are not typically available, except in unique circumstances where Jib in its sole discretion decides to offer a refund. We also do not typically offer refunds for partial use of Services within a billing cycle, temporary Service interruptions due to maintenance or factors outside our control, or termination of your account due to violation of our Terms of Service.
To request a refund, contact our customer support team. Refunds will be processed to the original payment method, typically within 10 business days of approval. We may offer free trials of our Services. At the end of any free trial, if available, you will be automatically charged for the subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends. You are responsible for canceling your subscription before the free trial ends to avoid charges. You are also responsible for paying all applicable taxes related to your use of the Services, except for those based on our net income. If you dispute any charges, you must let us know within 30 days after the date of billing. Disputes should be sent to the designated billing dispute contact provided in your account information.
